Last Sunday, I didn't know it would be our last Sunday. We took a longer walk like we usually do on weekends. I thought I saw a lilac bush from the road the other day and wanted to find it. We walked across the street and down to the creek. Erin made sure you didn't get too close to the water when you wanted to get a better look. We found the lilac bush and you waited patiently while I geeked out, and then we watched the squirrels and dogs for a bit in the park. You were such a good boy. You were almost 14 and you have had so many adventures and so many snacks. You gave me a reason to get up and go out every single day. At least twice a day for walks under the sky and across the grass, we'd admired the trees and the bushes and the birds. Thank you buddy for sharing your life with us. You did it!
